Been wondering about the term “Urban Fantasy” — why can’t it be rural

Been wondering about the term “Urban Fantasy”. Why does it have to be urban? Why can’t it be rural?

Actually, I’ve been wondering this for a while. The novels I’ve been writing are in part a reaction to this thought.
